I often have students pair up or work in small groups (maximum four students) to get started with their homework or to review one another’s homework at the beginning of class. This seems very satisfying to students, perhaps because it addresses their curiosity about what other students are writing or because it gives them confidence in their work. I often hear them explaining to one another why a certain sentence is wrong or right and asking questions of one another. Thus this peer review allows them to learn from one another as well as from me or the book.
